LCCC Ludden Library
During the fall semester of 2008, I worked at Laramie County Community College Ludden Library for my practicum. In addition to reference services, information literacy teaching, and original cataloging, I worked on two online tutorials. These tutorials are intended to help Ludden Library patrons help themselves on the library website and were created using Adobe Captivate.
The first tutorial was inspired by nursing students who continually struggled to find an article written by a nurse. My tutorial demonstrates how to identify the author’s credentials. Watch the tutorial.
The second tutorial introduces Ludden Library’s federated search tool called Super Search. This service was silently introduced in the summer of 2008 and was later included in some information literacy training sessions as a way to search effectively. Watch the tutorial
